Here is a look at the other items displayed for ASUS at Computex 2011. Asus Eee PC and 1025C 1025CE. Their first netbook Cedar Trail! The new Eee PCs are designed with metal-finish lid, matte screen panels, chrome finish around the port, flush-looking single-button trackpad with chrome, Chiclet keyboard but unfortunately reverts back to the glossy display. A single slot of RAM access. Some nice features include HDMI out and (akhirnya!) three weeks long standby time.
Specifications wise the model, we are not really sure who gets what - a Cedar Trail Atom processor (N2600 or N2800), 10.1 "1024 x 600 display (glossy here), with up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB HDD, 802.11b / g / n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3-cell or 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Starter. Ports include VGA, USB 2.0 / 3.0, HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet, headphone, mic jacks and card reader. The base model price of $ 249 to 1025C, 1025CE higher end models, $ 279. Watch out for those later in Q4.
Model 1025C on the screen is pumped out with a WEI score of 2.9 on a 1.6GHz processor. Sounds like N2600 processor (1.6GHz, 3.5W TDP) although the score is not higher than what we've seen with Atom N550 netbooks, strange.
Press shots of bright colors yesterday shows that there will be a variety of colors including black and white.
